Indonesian food has always had a special place in my heart—not only because I lived there in 1981-82 and fell in love with the bold flavors, but also because I have some Indonesian roots on my Dad’s side. Maybe that’s why the rich spices, savory-sweet balance, and comforting warmth of these dishes feel like home to me.

My version of this meal is made with organic ingredients whenever possible, staying true to the fresh, wholesome approach I bring to all my cooking. The Nasi Goreng is deeply savory, with fragrant spices, crispy bits of rice, and just the right amount of heat, while the Gado Gado offers a refreshing contrast with crunchy vegetables, boiled eggs, and tempeh. To top it all off, the Indonesian Chicken Satay brings smoky, marinated skewers of tender chicken, grilled to perfection and served with a creamy, flavorful peanut sauce.
