Kesari Mini Cake

This South Indian classic, is a sunny, citrus-kissed cake is inspired by the beloved South Indian sweet, Kesari. I’ve adapted the traditional semolina dessert into a tender cake made with Molino Grassi organic durum semolina, gently toasted for nutty depth, then folded with organic coconut milk, a whisper of cardamom, and sweetened with coconut sugar.

The topping is my own twist: house-candied local kumquats that add a vibrant, tangy sparkle. It’s a fragrant, soul-warming cake that celebrates tradition while embracing California’s seasonal bounty.

As with all meals at Ragna’s Table, I use organic ingredients wherever possible and design dishes to be full of flavor, comfort, and joy.
