A few weeks ago, when my Mom was still here visiting, she was retelling me how she used to take the train from Oakville to Toronto, about a half-hour ride, to meet my dad after his work; once in Toronto, she would walk through the PATH – the world’s largest underground shopping complex – and always stop for a curried bun; even though she has always been an amazing cook, she was a little nervous about baking; I assured her we could do it, and together we decided to make these buns ourselves — starting with the curried filling, which quickly became an obsession; now, I’m thrilled to share this meal with you.
